Erin Lane is a playwright, improviser, comedian, and solo artist. Her play Hoist was the first runner-up in the 2015 Charles M. Getchell New Play Contest, was featured in the 2015 Great Plains Theatre Conference in Omaha, NE, and the Rose of Athens Playwrighting Festival 2015 in Athens, GA. Her show Jersey Shore: The Musical ran for a year in Chicago and was named one of the top 10 shows in 2011 by Time Out Magazine Chicago. She has served as head writer on the following projects: Why the Long Facebook? with Dark Humour Productions, Americans in Peril, ObamaNation, America: For Dummies, iAlone, and Time to Start Worrying with 4 Days Late Productions, Big Top JoJo and His Towering Show of Wonders with Jonny Stax Presents, and All that Jaws: A Jaws Musical. She has been featured in the Baltimore Improv Festival, Chicago Improv Festival, Write Club, Chicago Home Theatre Festival, Chicago Women’s Funny Festival, Story Club, Indiana Fringe Festival, Chicago Sketchfest and the New Seeds Festival in Florida. Erin Lane received a B.A. in Theater Arts from Columbia College Chicago, and has graduated from the Second City Conservatory, iO and Annoyance Productions. She is currently an M.F.A.
