Shane Strawbridge

Shane Strawbridge is an MFA candidate as a member of the Hollins Playwright’s Lab at Hollins University. He received his MA in Drama from Texas Woman’s University in 2014 and his BM in Music Education from Howard Payne University in 2006. Since 2006, he has had a variety of readings and workshops across the country. Workshops include PHOBIA at Gorilla Tango Theatre in Chicago. Readings include PHOBIA and THE GORSKY EFFECT at Richland College in Dallas; REMOVING THE BOULDER and PHOBIA at Texas Woman’s University; and MY CORNER OF THE PAINTING at the Playwright’s Lab at Hollins University. His 10 minute children’s play I’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU was the winner of the 2012 ArtsView Children’s Theatre Playwriting Contest. As an actor, he has won awards from The Column Awards, The Stony Awards,, and was named one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s Best Actors of 2012 by CBS-DFW. He is a member of Dramatists’ Guild and Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of America.
