University of Great Falls, Montana

ugf1The University of Great Falls is a private, Catholic liberal arts University located in Great Falls, MT.

Performing Arts was reestablished in the Fall of 2010 when the University hired Michael Gilboe to bring theater and music back to campus. Since then, UGF has been dedicated to presenting new works in addition to theatre classics.

Premieres and new works include the musical, “Lost Legend of Camelot” with book by Bryce Weinert, music & lyrics by Michael Gilboe, “The Dead Legend” written by Michael Gilboe with the students from UGF, “Providence” by Cody Daigle and in February of 2014, “Decision Height” by Meredith Levy. The Students from the University of Great Falls were invited to perform “The Dead Legend” at the New York Musical Theater Festival, and travelled there in July of 2013. The University is currently working on developing a student written musical, “Montana: The Musical” by Ken Taylor.

ugf2Popular shows the University has presented includes “Chicago”, “I Hate Hamlet”, “Come Blow Your Horn” and in April of 2014, “South Pacific”
